Tv Guide: CBS isn't talking, but reliable sources say that the Eye net has dropped the C-bomb on Jericho. Those same sources are telling me that the show's exec producer Carol Barbee is thisclose to a deal to join one of CBS' new fall pilots as showrunner

Variety: CBS cancels 'Jericho,' two others. CBS has apparently nuked "Jericho," dismissed and closed the book on "Close to Home." Net wasn't commenting Tuesday, but several people familiar with the situation said none of the skeins has been given a series order for next season.

Zap2it.com: On the drama side, there was bad news for "Jericho," which appears to have seen a mushroom cloud go up over its hopes for a second season. Initially considered one of the surprise successes of the new season, the heavily serialized drama took an extended winter hiatus and returned to find no traction against FOX's ratings behemoth "American Idol."

just read it in the ny daily news. while ashley did'nt have a really big part in jericho, it was a pretty good show that deserved at least one more season. the idiot tv execs ruin shows by using repeats in the middle of the season to use up space and when this happens, they lose viewers! this is why i don't watch network tv on a regular basis. they cancel good shows and keep producind trash that they keep on the air. by the way, i thought ashley was excellent in birds of prey!
