Sucks how she always seems to have bad luck career-wise

I mean, she's now been in three different shows that were all cancelled way before their time. She had a recurring role in Dark Angel's second season, and that was cancelled. And then she was in Birds of Prey, which didn't even last a full season, and now Jericho has been cancelled after one full season and a very short second season. Sucks that she always seems to land on these cult shows that never last very long. Hopefully she'll get her big breakthough eventually.

The sad reality is that the majority of new TV shows just don't survive the first season. If they're a little lucky, they might get a second season. If they're really unlucky, they get cancelled after the first broadcast (that has happened a few times believe it or not). Competition on TV (broadcast and cable) is ferocious. Not too many people are like the late Michael Landon - starring in one successful show afer another.

I hope Ashley now focuses more on mainstream films, preferably in a starring role. With this new Reny Harlin flick, I hope she finally makes it big. I think she deserves it.
