shareAnd what facts do you base your opinion on?
shareBluenote-5.. I've had the fortunate opportunity to meet and work with Common twice. I've also had the opportunity to meet plenty of other popular Hip-Hop artists/groups, musicians and other entertainment celebrities. I also happen to be Filipino American, and in the 10 years I've been in the entertainment industry I have NEVER met a nicer, friendlier and more well mannered person or celebrity than Common. He's already such a likeable guy... and because my working experience with him has been nothing short of fantastic... it's only made me an even bigger fan of him. What makes you say that he's a racist? That's a pretty strong statement.
sharedear sonic manipulation, please stop trolling me on the internets just because i said that crank is bad filmaking...everybody with a iq over 90 and some film knowledge would agree with that. get over it and please accept that. everything you said about me is totaly untrue wich shows to me how wrong you generaly are and with every posting more you make you just look dumber to me...im sorry. please watch some mel gibson braveheart and stfu. many thanks. lol.

Another song of his mentions how black guys are breaking mother heart because they choose white girls. He said in the song: how that is wrong etc.
He also said in a interview that black and white people should not mix because of the preservation of the black race. He said many ridiculous things in interviews and you can also find racist lyrics in his songs like on his lp ressurection.
peace out.
this has actually been discussed on this board before. if you go back in the board farther, i'm sure you'll seeit. but i will post the same link to an interview i posted in that one:

the second lyric you are referring to is from the song "Real People." he says
Black men walking wit white girls on they arms
I be mad at em as if I know they moms
the lyric following that is:
Told to go beyond the surface, a person's a person
When we lessen our women our condition seems to worsen
meaning he realized his initial views weren't right because he wasn't raised with those ideals. the lyric shows that he recognizes this, as well as his growth from the time period of the previous lyric you spoke about.
i mean...it's easy to take a lyric or two and make it the entire basis of a person's beliefs, but you might want to take a couple minutes to analyze everything that's being said, because it always goes deeper than that.
but it's always good to have discussions such as these. :)
Funny, the OP apparently has nothing to say now.
