i almost enjoyed 'just wright' but he was and is a bad actor

i love queen and the plot was nice but his acting skills suck. it was like he was reading his lines off set and running but on set and saying ok ok im ready go. he was really bad it made me very uncomfortable.. how unnatural he is. then he looked very thin in the face. ive loved him in everything else hes done i dig his music but he missed the mark on this one tho..sorry common

OMG, I agree! I love this man, but he really needs to work on his acting. He was cool in his other smaller roles, but he was not convincing in this one.

Still loved the movie. But yeah I completely understand what you all are saying.

I've been watching these rapper-turned-actor types now for awhile. They can get the plane in the air, just takes a few films to get the landing gear up. Mos Def wasn't anything to write home about until Something The Lord Made. He then moved into that golden circle from being an actor trying, to being an Actors' Actor. To me, Common is on his way. And the music will return as well, I hope.

To be fair, Mos Def actually studied acting in college. So technically, he's an actor that knows how to rap. Instead of a rapper that can act.

I guess it just happened that music worked out better for him first before acting really took off.
