Back injury?

I heard that Ksenia Solo had a back injury when she was 14 years old, and because of that she could not follow a career in dancing. I was just wondering, if anybody knows, how severe is this injury exactly? Does it have any impact on her acting and/or what roles she can take, or even on her life outside of acting?

The reason I ask is because I really love this actress and it would be a shame if she had to stop her acting career because of problems with her back.

I do not know how bad it was, but it hasn't stopped her acting yet. I'm sure that some roles are off limits, but it looks like most roles are ok. Some scenes in Lost Girl have been pretty action filled, scenes she has said she wished she could do more of. She did say doing the dancing in Black Swan wasn't easy though.

When I say she wishes she could do more action scenes, she means she wishes that the producers and writers would give her more scenes like that. Not that she couldn't do them. I realized that it might be confusing when I re-read my comment.

I don't think the back injury is really limiting her as an actor. I think the back injury took her away during a critical time she would have had to spend to continue to do ballet.

She's shown a great range of motion in Lost Girl and even danced the Tango this year. I don't think there's any chance of an old injury ending her acting career.

What? The first rule about Clone Club is we don't talk about Clone Club?

Plus, it doesn't take much to end a ballerinas career. The strength that it takes puts a huge strain on the body. It didn't necessarily have to be a serious injury; it could just be that continuing to dance would put further strain on the injury or that the injury prevents her from being able to preform certain moves. To be a ballerina you basically have to be perfect an injury to your feet or your back, no matter how small is an imperfection.
