If Nicole started off as a solo artist (without the PCD)...
...would people like her more or would they hate her?
Let's be honest...the Pussycat Dolls may as well have been a solo act since Nicole was the one who did all the singing while the other girls just danced. I believe that if you're in a vocal group (who doesn't play their own instruments), good or bad, every member of that group should get a chance to sing.
The other girls hardly ever got a chance to sing except for maybe some backup singing.
I actually used to think those voices chirping in the background for "Don't Cha" were the other Pussycat Dolls, but they're not.
Do you think that, if Nicole had broken out into the music business singing songs like
"Don't Cha", "Buttons", "Stickwitu", etc. without the other Pussycat Dolls, would people actually like her or would they hate her?
When the Pussycat Dolls first came out (the girl group, not the burlesque act), many people hated them, mostly because of their hypersexualized image and because they were a bunch of strippers turned singers.
If Nicole broke out into the music industry without the Pussycat Dolls behind her, would people like her or would they hate her?
