Jewish?
In nikita you can see hebrew tattoos on her arm, is that just the show or is it real?

shareI don't think so. I think she's half german, half portuguese
shareWhat does that have to do with being Jewish? Judaism's not a nationality. Both Portugal and Germany have some of the Largest Jewish Diaspora populations on Earth.
Here's the full answer I posted:
Lyndsy is Jewish. When she married Noah Bean they did "readings from Jewish and Buddhists traditions," and were "married underneath a chuppah that was built by Bean from the trees on his late father’s property in Massachusetts," per People Magazine. A "Chuppah" is a canopy the couple gets married under in a traditional Jewish Wedding. No other culture uses a Chuppah. If you dig deeper her profile states she's Jewish, born in 1987 in California. There are entire articles detailing her family's emigration to the US.
The Hebrew tattoo is her own, and common sense tells you if her sister's Jewish, so is she. She's 75% Portuguese and 25% German, which is very common for Jewish American & Latin American Emigrants. Her grandparents all Emigrated to America just before WWII. I'm the same age as her and Jewish, and my grandparents came over during the same time.
And for anyone wondering, tattoos aren't "against the Torah." The Torah isn't like the Bible telling you what you can and cannot do beyond the most fundamental. Unless you're Orthodox there's no issue getting tattoos even tho it goes against "tradition." It's not a sin; we have much bigger issues at hand than tattoos.
Regarding her nationality: Brazil, for example, has the largest population of "Ladino" Jews, who emigrated mainly from Portugal, Spain, and Germany (yes Germany). Lots of Nazis also escaped to Brazil, Panama, and Argentina where there are many German Speakers to this day. Brazil's National Language is Portuguese and most Jews speak "Ladino" which is a Latin American/Romance form of Yiddish, spoken in Central & South America, Spain, Portugal, and Israel.
While she isn't Jewish, her sister is. The hebrew tattoo is her sister's name. The tattoo on her wrist is Portuguese and means "Faith". The other one behind her right ear is also real.

love me a chic with real tats in shows haha
shareWhy should she have a tattoo of her sisters name
shareI don't think an observant Jew would have any tattoos. Tattooing is prohibited by the Torah.
Clearly Fonseca, a non-Jew, is paying tribute to her step-by-step.

There are plenty of Jews who aren't observant, otherwise you wouldn't need the term "Observant Jew."
In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.
