She's a great addition to the cast of Dan Brown adaptions, though!
Seriously, have you seen the movie? Ayelet was one of the best performers in it. Probably the second best after Ewan. She didn't have to don a mini-skirt and tank top to portray the character properly.
I came away feeling more than satisfied with Vittoria. I think they portrayed the character without the cliche that Brown forced on her in the books.
She portrayed an Italian just fine and was far from a miscast.
