Her Hollywood career has officially ended
Ever since 2009, all her past and upcoming movies have been in PRC or Hong Kong. Small wonder, she was doomed to play Asian foreigners in the USA (bad English) and there are not many such parts.

shareIt's just that Hollywood goes through phases of embracing different exoctic films/cultures, Crouching Tiger was over a decade ago now, so it makes sense that when there are less Chinese films being successful in America that there will be less parts offered to actresses of asian decent in Hollywood films. Also, don't forget there are a lot less parts for any actress in Hollywood once they start to get older.
shareNothing wrong with not having a Hollywood career. That means less if a chance for any actor to play a demeaning role in a crappy American flick.
shareHope you are right. Then we don't need to see her wasted in Hollywood craps playing second fiddle to CGIs.
I think HW needs her more than she need HW. She is so BIG now.
How can it have ended when it never really started? Saying "Apple" in Rush Hour 2 is like being the equivalent of an extra.
I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.
So what? Let me inform you that Bollywood and the ever-expanding Chinese film industry are the new players.
shareHonestly? Those scandals/rumors that she's been tied up in in Asia has done/ is doing her no favors. She's a liability now in Hollywood terms because of 'em regardless of the "real truth" behind them :/ It is what it is.
shareShe'll probably get the occasional English role. She probably doesn't want an American career that badly.
