OMG, I just noticed what the banner being carried by the students say-- and calculated the time of Huo Yuanjia's death + Chen Zhen's revenge + 7 odd years... which would be right after WWI, against the background of the 1919 May 4th Movement?

FYI, the May 4th Movement came about as a result of (amongst many other things) the Imperialist Colonial Empires "re-allocating" their regional interests after WWI-- including "transferring" (the "loser") Germany's concession on Qingdao, China to (one of the "winners") Japan. The students/people went "WTF?!" and demonstrated/rioted.

And they are going to open this movie in October during China's National Day holidays? Oh, the anti-nationalists are SO going to hate this movie....
