In my opinion Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa are the 2 best working martial arts actors today. I would love for them to star in a movie together, especially if it was a period piece instead of a modern story.

I heard they were in talks. Then Jaa got beleaguered by a host of problems with his production and trouble with an existing contract. Basically he just froze everything and sulked in the jungle.
I believe he's now a Buddhist monk.
Well he better get out of his funk soon, is all I can say. Donnie is booked until 2012 and may retire from acting soon.

If Tony doesn't snap out of his monkhood by next year, Scott Adkins would be a good alternative for a matchup with Donnie. I would love to see them go toe to toe in a MMA-style brawl; similar to the one he had with Colin Chou in Flashpoint.
