I can't believe nobody has thought of this yet! Donnie is the absolutely perfect candidate to play John Rain. He is the right age, is about the same size and as we all saw in Flash Point, Donnie does possess some skill in judo. Also, the man can speak good english , from the little I have seen.
shareHm I could see that working.. Although I personally see John rain as just a more "dark" person if that makes sense. Also rain's style is very non-flamboyant which yen typically does; not that he couldn't do it, I just would hate for them to ruin things by trying to "flash it up" or something.
He does speak English really well but rain should be able to speak English without even a trace of an accent. Idk if yen could pull it off. But yeah there are a lot worse candidates out there..
Unfortunately though I don't see there being another rain movie after the very sub-par Japanese (I think) film that they did a while back. Really a shame because with movies like Jason Bourne doing so well I could see a GOOD John rain movie doing great here in the west. I can always hope though
