Donnie and Hollywood?

Why Donnie Yen hasn't been given a better break in Hollywood is still a mystery to me.. I think he would be great in a Kiss Of The Dragon kind of film.. He definitely deserves more recognition!!

Agreed, deeply disapointing. Then again Ive always prefered Asia Cinema martial arts over Hollywood martial arts. I mean really look what they did with Jackie and Jet. I myself prefer their older work, but thats just me...

Donnie gave Hollywood a big *beep* you" a long time ago. Other reasons(along with not liking the scripts given) include the fact that they continually offer Donnie bulls**t roles. Besides, the guy's at his best in his Native China doing Hong Kong movies. It's best to keep it that way.

Donnie Yen is producing awesome action movies in Asia. Hollywood has not offered him anything worth taking. I don't want him to go to Hollywood because from what I can see they don't really make good martial arts or good action movies. I think Donnie Yen should stay away from Hollywood which would also make a statement declaring that you don't need Hollywood to make great movies and be succesfull. I think Hollywood stars should be going to asia or Thailand to make actually good action movies.

The world is my oyester but I am allergic to shellfish.

Why?

Hollywood action movies are horrible, the movies Donnie is doing now makes american martial art movies look like a school project.
Compare sat poo long to kiss of the dragon, kofd doesn't even come close.

Hollywood would ruin Donnie. Donnie's own choreography with his own HK directors and action choreographer is of much higher calibre and quality than half-past-six American action films with crappy action stars with heavy CGI-created kung-fu moves that look horrible and fake (take Keanu Reeves Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions for example.....ewwww). The raw fight scenes in SPL and Flashpoint prove that Donnie is best doing what he does best in Hong Kong and not Hollywood. He will definitely get screwed up in Hollywood production.
