Yes, Max was in the April, 2001 National Enquirer and it showed him kissing a homeless man while naked and smoking crack while making a gay sex tape. Max's ex gay lover said he picked up homeless men twice a week and paid them $100 each for gay sex. There's a post on here where a guy claims to have met Max at a AA meeting and they bolted out of there to go see an L.A. Dodger game and got plastered while having a great time. When the guy ran into Max again several weeks later Max didn't remember anything and was basically ashamed at his out of control drinking to the point of blackout.
The good news is Max's wife and kids stuck with him, he seemed to have a terrible problem with drugs and alcohol..he did say his days on the ALF set were difficult but he got satisfaction that so many enjoyed the show, he definitely was great as Willie Tanner and that's how I will remember him. RIP Max Wright.
