I don't think I've ever seen a quicker fall

Seems like a year ago she was the next big thing, then Divergent torpedoed her career and now she is doing made for TV movies

Had Rickon zigged or zagged he'd be Lord of Winterfell and King in the North.

...with Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and Reese Witherspoon on HBO. All amidst a film being released during Oscar season with her name headlined on the poster. My goodness, her career is just so over.

I was more referring to Divergent bombing out of theaters. Are you talking about Snowden? because that's JGL on the poster.

Yes, because no one in Hollywood seems to get a stain or two on their resume. It's unfortunate for her that this happened with the series, but it's not critically affecting the reception of her performances. That film series failed independently of the actress.

Woodley's contract stipulates that she be provided second billing - above the title of the film next to JGL's name - in all marketing material. Yes, JGL is the face of the poster, naturally, but both of the actors are "headlining" the film, so to speak.
He is not provided the sole name above the title, which incidentally does matter and reflect on the respect and leverage she can obtain in the industry.

This is coming from someone who has no strong feelings regarding the actress. Objectively, she is still marketable and talented enough to be given parts. If this were someone like Lily Collins - who lacks critical respect - then I could see the actress's respect diminish (as hers did after Mortal Instruments). But it's Woodley, who has headlined a couple blockbusters, been nominated for a GG, and is going to be seen in a prestigious miniseries with a bunch of Oscar favorites; she'll be garnering respected attention even if her co-stars are the ones nominated/winning awards.

If you've read the books, this comes as no surprise. The first book was actually really good, quick-paced with a fully realized alternative world and a compelling main character. After that, though, the books became progressively worse until, finally, it was painful to finish the series, especially since it was so ridiculously obvious that the author no longer cared at all about the MC and instead had fallen in love with Four and only wanted to write about him.

What's a JGL, and why is it on these IMDB forums that people seem to think anyone can understand their acronyms without first explaining them?
