Why do people care about her politics so much?

Sure, she probably has some naïve and stupid liberal views. But I have numerous older relatives whose right-wing, pro-Trump views are not only stupid, but are mostly just paranoid ramblings based on some completely fake "news" story they read somewhere. But so what? My relationship with my older relatives is NOT based on their insightful politics. And my "relationship" with Hollywood actresses is not based on politics, but on 1. the quality of their movies, 2. their acting talent, and 3. their beauty (which is also somewhat dependent on their willingness to get naked when the role calls for it). Shailene Wooodley scores high among her peers in all these categories. I couldn't care less about her political views. And, not surprisingly, most of the people that DO care seem to dumb-ass conspiracy-minded, climate change-deniers, who are way too focused on politics THEMSELVES.

If you're having a fantasy about Shailene or some other hot actress, are you really discussing in this fantasy her position on the Exxon pipeline project? How does THAT come up when she's face down and biting a pillow?
