wtf to the haters?

you cant always find a actor or actress who s involved with good things, and in this imdb page everyone is hating her? wtf?, so you are loving the ones who doesnt do nothing, and she is doing stuff and hate threads? -_- its stupid, i respect shailene, she is brave and have a good heart.

reply

IMDB is full of critics. Shailene isn't a special case in that regard.

Personally while I understand their reasons for protesting the Dakota pipeline, they broke the law by trespassing. Shailene Woodley is too well known to not be noticed and identified at an event like that. It's no surprise she got arrested.

reply

I would think she knows Obama is only going to run them off after the election. But this does get her some attention.

reply

at least some people know why she was arrested

reply

Why are her causes "good things"? Who decided that?

reply

men. wtf? she is doing something humanitarian for the world

reply

She sees what she's doing as protecting the planet and humanity. She decided that herself.

reply

How is being against a pipeline protecting the planet and humanity?

Do you people even think about things for more then five minutes? Why is moving oil or natural gas through a pipeline worse then other forms of transporting it?

reply

Oil pipelines leak and spill and ruin the water table. I don't know if there's a better way to transport the oil. I'm just responding to your question.

I'll admit shutting down fossil fuels isn't the answer until new abundant forms of energy are made fully available and accessible.

Society heavily depends on fossil fuels and without a viable replacement we would not be able to sustain the Western way of life or even have enough food for everyone. This is also why I'm against the Kyoto protocol and taxes on CO². They don't do anything to solve the problem. They just make energy more scarce.

Nuclear power is not a safe alternative.

Instead I believe in using federal money to make solar energy more abundant by putting solar on every new car and roof top. Imagine a solar powered car that doesn't use any fossil fuels and produces zero pollution. That technology exists today. It just isn't being made.
