Benedict Wong is a beast as Kublai Khan
Just wow. This guy is ridiculously good as the Great Khan of Khans. From his gravelly growl, to the way his physical presence looms, he's like a mixture of Jonathan Rhys-Meyers' Henry VIII and Tony Soprano, but more just with his subjects and more likeable than either of those guys.
It's difficult to believe this is the same actor who played Trey in Sunshine or the bit part of a pilot in Prometheus; both those movies seriously squandered his talent. Here's to hoping Marco Polo gets a long life and Benedict Wong continues to embody the Kublai Khan.
