Check out BrainDead, TV Series, 2016 TV-14, 13 episodes. It was a hoot that ran from June to September 2016. A horror-comedy-drama, set in Washington DC, where aliens take over the brains of politicians. Mary Elizabeth Winstead starred as a new congressional staffer. Tony Shalhoub (Monk) was in it. It might be available for free on cwtv.com. It apparently costs money to rent it on Paramount+.
