How is she not getting more roles?

I seems like her movies roles have been sparse the last few years...and her only upcoming film is Geostorm with a very questionable plot. While someone like Gerard Butler has a decent amount of roles upcoming considering his acting skill. Is Vikings taking up that much of her time that she only has time for one movie or is she not promoting herself enough. I want her to gain more spotlight so she can play Captain marvel. And yes she is a little old for the role but when you look 10 years younger than you actually are like her it will not be a problem...especially if she still looks this amazing when its time for casting. She definitely needs to land more movie roles to be a top contender for Captain Marvel.

Vikings has dramatically elevated her profile, and before it I was a fan of hers for years wondering how she had not broken through when so many big roles would have been much better filled by her. It is so very rare to find someone with her level of beauty acting skill physicality and charisma. Vikings has made her a recognized face, and I doubt she would have gotten Geostorm without it, yet doing a series takes up a fair bit of time. She would have had time for other projects between seasons 1 and 2 and 2 and 3, since those only filmed for a few months of the year. I believe Travis Fimmel did Warcraft in the break between 1 and 2. Season 4 is going to be much longer than previous seasons so sadly there will not likely be enough time in the immediate future though I am holding on to hope that Hollywood wises up.
Mostly though I am just glad than Michael Hirst saw what a great opportunity he had by casting such a talented woman so that the two of them could craft such a great character.

I believe that Vikings has shot for 6+ months of the year for most seasons and there is some time spent promoting it. This season has been shooting for 8 months already and there will probably be only a short hiatus.

She's only done two acting roles other than Vikings since the show started: Geostorm and a guest spot on Person of Interest. Geostorm would have taken up one hiatus as it would have filmed for a couple months. As shooting a tv show is grueling, she probably needs some down time too. I'm not sure what she was doing the second hiatus if she only shot Person of Interest. My guess is she wanted a vacation as she could have easily booked more guest spots if only on Canadian tv.

My worry is that Geostorm is going to be a big bomb as it's been moved around and is now opening in the dumping ground of January.

Yeah it's so weird, she's gorgeous, can act so 
And yes she'd be great as CM.

Maybe she isnt a hollywood whore. A lot of talentless actress get many films through the years by sleeping around. Who cares? better for us a hidden treasure. If she's gotten big by now she probably wouldve left the low budget viking and we wouldn't have the pleasure we'd be crying.
