Sure,he was able,as he is a great writer,to hire talented writers (like Marti Noxon,Jane Espenson,Steven De Knight,etc.) but the best one remains Joss! He is the one that made Buffy The Vampire Slayer something more than Twilight or The Vampire Diares. Without him,you'll get a product that will be more similar to Twilight/TVD than Buffy.
And where did you find the news that "some of them are returning to the show"?? You just invented it. The only thing we know is that Nora and Lilla Zuckerman are writing the pilot,and nothing else about the writing. Nora and Lilla are good writers,but they're not on Joss level.
And no,he is not an asshole and even if he was,that should not disqualify him to work,as long as he doesnt commit any crime (and he did not!)

Nope. He won't be writing it. So forget that dream. I personally think Marti did a better job. Yeah Joss had a few good episodes but Season 6 was ran by Marti and its one of the best seasons. He always seemed like a fake to me talking about womens rights and his other BS. He presented himself as a defender if women and ended up being a complete jackass. Good riddance.

Joss is the best writer of the Buffyverse and season 6 was hated a lot by the fans. You like to hate on Joss but you wasnt able to deny the fact you lied in your previous comment.
Yes,Joss probably wont write this Buffy reboot (i say probably as in the Trump era we are now, he could get un-canceled,altough he hates Trump lol) but without him you'll just get another Twilight/The Vampire Diares trash,that would flop hard. And in that case i say..good riddance!
Season 6 was excellent. 4 and 5 were just ok.

Joss did his part too. But some of the best episodes weren’t written by him.
Whoever wrote the Mayor’s lines was one of the best writers on the show. Credit to Harry Groener for knocking it out of the ballpark with his acting. The Mayor made Season 3 arguably the best one, and that’s saying a lot given how much Angelus made Season 2 so great.
I’m torn between those two seasons in terms of choosing which one is better. It comes down to the villains and how well they were written/acted. The Mayor vs Angelus. Tough call.
