Should play Gambit (X-men)?

Yes, everyone either wants Josh Holloway or Taylor Kitsch to play Gambit but lets face it, Josh is aging fast (43) and in a few years would be too old to play Gambit, whereas Taylor's acting was pathetic in X-Men: Wolverine which leaves 34 year old Shane West , an actual Louisiana native who has a cajun accent and I honestly feel if they are to make a movie soon which would include Gambit, they should just blindly cast Shane..

I have always said it should be Shane West or Harry Connick Jr. (Gambit was one of my favorites in the comics and the cartoons), although just with the accent I'd add Ian Somerhalder. Honestly though, Shane West is at the top of the list - he's got the accent, he's got the right look, and I feel like he would do a good job in the role (plus, as you mentioned, he's in the right age-range).

I agree! I've always said Shane West would make the perfect Gambit. I wonder if he's ever thought about doing the part. Wish someone would offer it to him!
