my sentiments exactly. his bio says he was once voted 'australia's sexiest man alive.' I mean ... I thought he looked pretty ok in the lord of the rings but only coz he had alot of hair and a beard to cover his face! :-O. & the same goes with viggo mortensen and alot of the cast in LOTR who i saw only for the first time in the movie and got the shock of my life wen i saw how they actually look like in real life!!! but i would pick viggo over david any day!

That's a question of taste of course. I don't like Viggo, but I love David Wenham. David is really the sexiest man alive.

I would say David is definately a very very sexy man(except maybe in Van Helsing)...however dont know about being the sexiest Australian ever.
That vote would surely go to Hugh Jackman :-)
