I feel bad for her but she's her own worst enemy.

She's one of the biggest (and earliest) pot-heads in Hollywood. She actually was a decent actress (forgetting Gilligan) but lost her ambition.

She made bad choices and now is looking for a bailout? Not from me; I donate to St. Jude's, Jimmy Fund, and the Salvation Army.

A POT-HEAD !! OMG ! I'm sure your corporate charities mentioned don't even know you exist, but Dawn Wells would be very appreciative. Seriously, those big-time outfits are great, and no, I don't do CrowdFundMe stuff, but she's not some faceless polyglot of people who are getting services. She's a person most of us remember well.
And that she may may have enjoyed too much POT in her years -- Color Me Guilty Of Same. Maybe it's harmful, maybe it's harmless -- but the woman needs help. Don't withhold it over POT !

Fans /people are sheep. Because this stranger was on a TV show they liked 50 yrs ago, she's entitled. So, there never was 7M to her name? And she had no medical insurance? If she is 72, she must have social security and Medicare. Not "good" enough for her? Baloney.

reply

If you read the article she owes the IRS. If you owe the IRS 180,000 then you must have been making some serious bank and not paying taxes. My guess is she was probably one of those selling autographs and photos at comic conventions and then didn't bother to pay the taxes on what she made. So frankly I have no sympathy for a tax cheat. I pay my taxes, so so can some actress that was clearly making some serious money.

reply

Wish I could do something, but I'm barely scraping by myself. Really a shame she hadn't been able to secure her future financially. Medical care in this country will suck you dry.

reply

That is crazy large debt. I guess I can drop a little coin her way (and I mean little). She is in the top five list of dames who had a major impact on my sexuality as a youth. This will fuel future fantasies of extorting her for the money.

LOL!

Lmao

Liked her more than Ginger. Absolutely gorgeous but acted like some girl from the neighborhood.
I think you'd have to have big $$ to get Ginger to pay attention to you, or at least be a hunk who would look good to be standing next to (Lyle Waggoner?).

reply

One thing that always mystified me about the show...

Why did Ginger and Mr. Howell never show any interest in each other? Going was definitely the kind of gal eno'd keep an eye out for millionaires!

reply

Me Howell was faithful to lovie

reply

"Men are only as faithful as their options", hon!

But maybe the money was all really Lovey's.

reply

"Men are only as faithful as their options"

An idiotic statement by somebody who clearly knows nothing about men.

reply

Seems legit if we go by men’s own words and “wisdom”

reply

We usually don't talk much about the actress who was Mrs Howell. But I imagine in her young days she might have been quite the bright star. She had a Carol Channing way about her, wide-eyed and trusting, (= ditzy).
I'm sure she was a wonderful woman in her own life. Maybe I'll research her a little soon.

reply

Mr. Howell suffered from ED. Little Buddy
kept Mrs. Howell company.

reply

The page apparently raised almost $200k for her and she's accepted it. Can you imagine the tax bill on that much unearned income?

If you receive money as a gift it isn't considered taxable income to the person that gets the money... it is only a taxable event to the person giving the money and only if they give too much as a gift.
