Weekend at Bernie's

Not to mar the tragedy of Kennedy's assassination but that's the feeling I got from the scene where the FBI agents are trying to get the casket up the stairs and onto the plane and have to cut out a section of the plane! It may have happened that way-- but the direction in this scene makes it look like a slapstick comedy leaving most decent people feeling a bit uncomfortable and maybe even guilty in anticipation of the corpse of Kennedy falling out of the casket ! Pathetic.

That movie was pretty terrible in general.

I only saw it because Tom Welling was in it.

Awww...I definitely didn't find it funny. It was heartbreaking how desperate the secret service agents were to try and be respectful to their commander in chief. I felt every bit of their desperation. I liked the movie although, of course, it felt a bit perverse watching the operating table scene...like rubbernecking by an accident.
