'All the way' Ray...why do they call her ex-husband that?

Just watching the girls from the Playboy mansion & Kendra was disgusted that Mamie's ex-husband Ray Anthony was talking to her (Kendra's) Mum. Kendra called him "all the way Ray"...whilst I can guess at what she was on about, I just wondered was there a particular incident or something? The guy is like 87...eeekkk...!!!

I see "Girls Next Door" sometimes, they come off
(on the show) as a bit silly, but I am a bit impressed
with Holly's literary selections (George Orwell & F. Scott Fitzgerald)
and I think without all the makeup, Holly looks like Mamie Van Doren.

I don't know what his nickname means,
but maybe it just has to do with music?

When Ray was married to (or dating?) Mamie,
he was friends with Marilyn Monroe, but I doubt
they dated--cause he was with miss Mamie at the time.
(Mamie's autbiography talks more about that)

I agree with you I also think Holly looks like Mamie.

They have very simular smiles, figures and pretty hair.
I don't know if she can act, but Holly (looks wise) could
maybe play Mamie, she's the only modern person who reminds me of Mamie.

If I was a movie director, that would be just
a dream come true to make a movie about miss Mamie
--only with her Full approval. She deserves a respectable,
witty, epic, fabulous, non-sensationalized! movie about her book!

Mamie is good friends with Holly's spouse ("Hef"),
but I wonder if Holly is friends with Mamie, maybe they are?

There is a really good artist, Olivia (don't know her last name),
and she paints really good art of the GND's, Mamie and Bettie Page.

Actually Mamie has said that she does think Ray Anthony and Marilyn had a fling. He even wrote a song for MM. Ray was a womanizer in his day, he was cute and had lots of 'lady friends'! Their son, Perry, loves the blondes too!

I just saw Ray on a newer episode of GND.
(He was on a bus with Holly and Hef going
to see Kendra and Bridget at a beach party)

In Mamie's book, he seemed more uptight,
but on the show he seemed more easygoing,
friendly and happy. Of course people change
with age, but I wouldn't have guessed that
he was the same guy!

Really Marilyn and Ray had a fling?

She really loved her Men.

reply

That's what Mamie says she thinks
happened [in her book] between them.

He sent Marilyn flowers and
supposedley wrote [or dedicated]
one of his hit songs for/to her.

I don't know why he'd cheat on
Mamie, even though Marilyn was
kind and beautiful herself. Some
men are just crazy like that though.
I think even Orson Welles cheated on Rita Hayworth!

do you have an excerpt from the book?

Orson Welles did cheat on Rita Hayworth - with Marilyn in 1947!!
