Played a few characters called Emily
Which I see from time to time, actors playing characters with their own name. I wonder if the names are altered for them?
shareThe names don't have to be altered when the show/movie is created as a vehicle for a certain person, and they decide from the beginning that they want to play a character that shares their first name.
An example is Ellen DeGeneres, the star of two sitcoms that bore her name, playing Ellen Morgan in the first and Ellen Day in the second.
