She's not getting hate because of the press interviews. She's getting hate because she kissed Cap.

She's in the press tours because that's her job. She didn't decide to be there. Marvel did. She didn't decide to have a very small role in the movie. The Russos did.

She can only answer parts from the comics because as you said she wasn't in the movie much to begin with. She just ending up defending her character because the idiots in social media are hating her for kissing Cap, apparently trashing on Peggy's memory, getting in the way of Steve/Bucky, Steve/Tony, and Steve/Natasha, and being blamed for the "icky" relationship of Steve/Sharon.

I don't know where you get the overly inflating of her character. She was barely asked in the interviews about her character at all. She was asked ridiculous questions like, "How does Chris Evans taste like?" or "Does she think Steve/Sharon is icky because of Peggy?"

Emily is the sweetest and most down-to-earth among the cast members. I don't understand where you got her self-importance. She even said she's the most replaceable cast member. I honestly don't understand your post at all. You said she doesn't deserve hate, and yet, you seem to be justifying the hate.

You seem to not understand that regardless of her role in the film, she is required by contract to help promote the movie if the studio wants that. And the studio clearly did so.

What is she supposed to do when asked about her character? "Oh, well, I'm barely in the film, so I'll say nothing." Please.
