As the villain in Wreck-It-Ralph

I just got done watching Wreck-It-Ralph at my local theater and was so happy that Alan had a bigger role than I thought he would as King Candy, the actual villain of the movie. His back story was interesting and I couldn't believe how intimidating he was with that ctusey-fancy-hyperactive voice, leave it Alan to surprise you. He really did a great job in the film, I encourage everybody to check it out it's a total blast and hands down one of his best performances yet.

I thought he did a fantastic voice job.

Usually you can recognize actors in their voice jobs (like Sarah Silverman in the same movie). But, seeing Alan's name in the credits was a total shock to me.

Was Ed the guy who voiced The Mad Hatter in the 50's version of Alice in Wonderland? During the movie, I kept thinking that King Candy's voice sounded familiar. When I heard that King Candy was based off The Mad Hatter, I knew why his voice sounded familiar. Alan did a really great job with that voice.

He (deservedly) got the Annie Award for it. Now if only the Oscars recognized voice work....
