I think it is less about Trump, more about republicans, cut spending, cut tax, cut regulations are conservative agenda.

But Trump being Trump, he is going at it in a big way.

When you promise to cut tax, like any billionaire (Trump and Musk both are) would have, without increasing debt, naturally you need to cut spending.

When governments pass a law or regulation, they usually create an government agency to enforce it. When you look at any government agency you usually will find a law behind it. So cutting regulation usually means getting rid of or at least gutting them.

There is going to be a lot of regulations being repealed and entire federal agencies gone or gutted in a hurry, that is if this is going well.

The trick is to find out what to cut, quick, you need an very capable outsider to do that, and that is Musk.

And it is perfect time, since republicans control just about all branches of federal government, and that is only guaranteed until mid term.
