I do like it when politicians make at least somewhat of an effort to be honest, I don't really expect them to do this because they never have in the past, why would I expect that will change?

I don't grind my teeth and demand that they say all the things I want to hear. Only a fool does this.

But honestly, you just lied. There is no way you "hold people accountable" for their words. Its impossible to do this because as humans, we have biases. For example, when Biden told black people "if you don't vote for me, you ain't black". Did you squirm in your seat and demand that Biden be "held accountable" for his "nasty words"?

Did you stand up and yell "justice must prevail" when Hillary Clinton called half the voting population "a basket of deplorables"?

Do you foam at the mouth when the talking head media jackasses tell us that "Trump called nazi's/white supremacists fine people"?

Of course you didn't. And that's okay. We ignore what we want to and in the end, we pick sides based on our own prejudices, with some vices and virtues mixed in.

And this is partially why the framers of the constitution included free speech as a god given right. You can say "ANYTHING" you want, even if it's a dumb comment. Sure, some peeps might not like it but no one is going to jail over it and rightfully so.
