The building the suspect fired from was outside the security perimeter but was fewer than 400 feet from the podium where Trump was speaking, officials said.

”Local police who were assigned by the Secret Service to help spot threats in the crowd at Donald Trump’s rally Saturday were inside the building where a gunman had positioned himself on the roof to shoot at the former president, according to a Secret Service official briefed on the incident.”

After being interrupted by the officer, the suspect proceeded to open fire in the direction of Trump, just as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee turned his head to look at a Jumbotron, a move Trump would later claim possibly saved his life.”

So they did have snipers inside the building.

I read about the cop that briefly went to look on the roof .... It seems that this rushed the shooter to take the shots.

It's a good thing that Trump turned his head towards the chart on the screen at that precise moment.

I don’t believe they were the snipers. I understood it to mean the local police who were assisting the Secret Service. The snipers were on another roof. Isn’t it odd snipers weren’t on the roof, but the shooter was? A 20 year old kid with his rifle knew he could cover the distance between himself & Trump, but security didn’t prepare? Something is fishy about the whole incident.

There are those on this board who hate the fact Trump turned his head. They have no soul. They have evil in their hearts.

Sure, like turning one's head outruns a .223 or 5.56 round leaving the muzzle at over 3,000 FPS. Your psychosis is acting up again. You need some more Haldol ASAP.
