That interview

Here is a list of the previously most watched interviews on tv -

Michael Jackson and Oprah Winfrey- 62 million viewers

Monica Lewinsky and Barbara Walters- 48 Million viewers

Richard Nixon and David Frost- 45 million viewers

Michael Jackson and Lisa Presley- 37.5 million viewers

Bill/Hillary Clinton and Steve Kroft- 34 million viewers

Stormy Daniels and Anderson Cooper- 22 million viewers

Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson on X- 231.6 million viewers and still counting.

More than double the most watched tv event in America the 2023 Superbowl at 115 million viewers.

Legacy media is dead, they haven't got the reach to brainwash the plebs like they used to have.

reply

Impressive, his planned worked:

Former US president Donald Trump has stolen the limelight from his fellow Republican candidates, opting to air a sit-down interview with former Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson while the first Republican primary debate is being staged.

reply

What are the debate ratings?

reply

Around 11+ million according to Reuters.

reply

The haters probably watch him more than MAGA, their meaningless lives need Trump to function.

reply

The method that Twitter uses to calculate overall impressions (not unique viewers) is not the same as cable news, so this comparison is meaningless.

reply

Would you happen to have any sources for that claim or can I safely discard it as left wing cope? lol what am I saying ofc it's cope.

reply

The fact that you automatically label anything that disagrees with your nonsense as "left wing cope" is ultra pathetic and revealing.

Cable calculates viewers by using a smaller sample size and extrapolating it out. Twitter "views" are like impressions, which means they're not unique and can be counted multiple times: https://help.twitter.com/en/using-twitter/view-counts

This is standard for these types of sites, including Youtube. So no, there are not "231.6 million viewers" like you claim, but simply overall impressions on the video/tweet.

It's actually pretty incredible (in the stupid sense) that you can't instantly comprehend how calculating things between cable and the internet would be very different. It also depends on what metric you're using - like unique viewers based on IP for instance, which is not what Twitter views are.

reply

lol so your argument about how the comparison is meaningless is that tv use EVEN LESS VIEWERS than they claim for their final view count and they just, pretend that it was more. What an own! Holy shit you're fucking stupid.

Cope and seethe about the Trump interview a bit more for me it really gets my juices going when you lot cry.

reply

Do you know how statistics and sample sizes work? I mean obviously not, that's a rhetorical question.

Cable is aimed at determining unique viewership based on a certain sample size, which is the only real way to do it because you can't poll the entirety of the TV-viewing audience every night. Twitter is calculating overall impressions on tweets which are not unique and can be counted multiple times.

Again, the fact that you can't understand the blatant difference between these two things, and that views/impressions are inherently going to be much greater in number because they're not intended to be counting unique viewers... is incredible.

The simple fact is, your entire post is nonsensical dreck based on a flawed premise, and unless you remove or edit it, it's going to sit here as a testament to your stupidity.

And what's hilarious is that I despise the left... but I also despise the right, because both sides exhibit the same type of idiocy that you're displaying here. No actual care for facts or reality, just groupthinked partisan hackery.

reply

"Hey this comparison is meaningless because cable TV use Nielsen ratings which artifically inflate the final number of viewers ha take that!"

I know you hate Trump but just pull your pants up and accept that his numbers from yesterday fucking trounced every other news station combined. I really don't care that you hate the left as well as the right, you can just remove the "left wing" part of my comment but your coping is very apparent.

Simple fact*

Fuck off.

reply

Yes, someone pointing out blatant facts to you inherently means they "hate Trump" - again, hilariously revealing of your mindset.

I actually voted for Trump in 2020, which is kind of embarrassing to say considering your pathetic, delusional behavior isn't exactly unique when it comes to his supporters. You certainly aren't doing him any favors.

Anyway, it's clear you've chosen the "testament to your stupidity" route, so don't let me or reality stop you.

reply

Wow I totally believe you even though my dad who works at Nintendo said you shouldn't believe everything you read from people on the internet.

I don't care about you. I don't care that you don't believe the numbers from the interview. Fuck off and get on my ignore list while I wait for Trump's historic mugshot to make my new profile picture on social media.

reply

And what's hilarious is that I despise the left... but I also despise the right

So you swing both sides………just like a tranny. 🤣

reply

Stupid loves stupid

reply

You're not an American citizen. Why do you worship Trump?

reply

That was legacy media.

reply

Twitter does NOT have view counts! That's just embedded/retweeted count.
