The Dasymetric Map & Science.

After the 2016 election, Donald's staff framed a map of the US showing it to be mostly red.

This was a very very very important gift for Donald's ego since he clearly LOST the popular vote & his inauguration was SO sad in comparison to President Obama's first & second.

The numbers don't lie. Your EYES don't lie. To quote Sean Spicer? "PERIOD."


So if Donald lost the popular vote then how did the map they framed & often push appear so bloody red?

1st? It's gerrymandering. For about the 10th election in a row, DEMOCRATS earned more votes for Congress than reflect in the House seats won. That's just a fact, Jack.

2nd? It's the map, Stan. (see below) The map Donald drags around colors in RED areas of unpopulated National Parks & farm or grazing areas if those areas are in lands represented by Republicans. Gerrymandered or not.

A Dasymetric Map represents PEOPLE & VOTES & not empty space.

In today's American political maps, a BLUE DOT represents a vote for the Democratic candidate.
In the areas dominated by the American Taliban, right-wing evangelicals, places that vote Republican, those people's votes are shown as a RED DOT.

There are going to be a lot fewer RED DOTS on the map in 2020.
