T-rump tells Americans to "boycott AT&T" over CNN coverage
T-rump kicked off his first state visit to the UK acting very honorable and presidential (wink, wink) - by telling Americans to 'boycott CNN's new corporate owner AT&T' until he gets more favorable coverage from the news network.
CNN has proven to be the 'primary news source available from the US' in the United Kingdom, which seems to be the reason T-rump went on a Tweet storm this morning on his way to a lunch at Buckingham Palace.
“I believe that if people stoped [sic] using or subscribing to @ATT, they would be forced to make big changes at @CNN, which is dying in the ratings anyway,” Trump vented in a tweet blast. “It is so unfair with such bad, Fake News! Why wouldn’t they act. When the World watches @CNN, it gets a false picture of USA. Sad!”
AT&T recently took over CNN's former owner Time-Warner, in a deal which T-rump promised his followers he would put a stop to, when he was on the campaign trail. Once he took over the White House, T-rump made a controversial move by ordering the Justice Department to fight against the merger on 'anti trust' grounds. A Federal appeals Judge ruled against the DoJ this past February, and the deal went through.
So far, the only boycotts against a cable network that seems to be working are those against FOX NEWS - boycotts against 'Tucker Carlson', 'Laura Ingraham' and 'Jeanine Pirro' have seem to be working, as each talk show host has been hemoraging advertisers, and more importantly, ad revenue for the network.
