Yesterday's weak growth numbers, Economy Slowing, Trump Recession on Horizon.

Not only did he miss his target of 3%, the current quarter is chugging along at a pathetic 1% growth, much weaker than expected as consumer confidence slumps and 2018 4th quarter profits weak.

It will be hilarious to watch Trump get owned by his own recession after his economy predictably sputters after the sugar high of propping it up through tax cuts and spending increases.

When the economy implodes:

First he'll blame Nancy Peloisi

Second he will blame Adam Schiff

Then he will blame The Russian probe and remind us he was fully exonerated

Then he will blame the ghost of John McCain

Then he will blame Hillary Clinton

Then he will blame Obama

And lastly, he will blame Jussie Smollett

And his base of idiots will believe everything he says.

liberals have been screaming this for 2 + years now. Not gonna happen, not unless the democrats crash the economy like they did in 08!

I thought you retired from the Trump board?

reply

Where was your outrage when the republicans passed his tax cuts and spending increases? When did you step forward and warn them this was the wrong path to take and you wouldn’t want to see the economy crash in a few years?

reply

[deleted]

Typical Rethuglikkkan answer to be interpreted as:

"There was no outrage. I sat back and let them start destroying our economy."

reply

[deleted]

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

My, you trigger quickly and so very easily. There's medication for that.

-z.

There you go, cupcake.

reply

Yep. The TDS is strong.

reply

"What blows my mind is some folks don't even care if a recession happens"

What is the OP supposed to do about it? Warnings were not heeded by Trump from his own economic advisors, he betrayed all sense of fiscal responsibility, he has been creating a false economic boom.

Where's your outrage? Oh it's all directed at the OP, because you believe in shooting the messenger while forgiving Trump of his economic destruction.

That's what we call CULTURE WAR and you're participating by blaming your fellow citizen for noticing the problems instead of the leaders for their decisions that created the problem.

You really need some perspective instead of your own maladjusted assumptions.

reply

Liberals want a recession because they want the country and Trump to fail. They have no money or jobs so what do they care.

reply

[deleted]

If liberals want a recession, they would have voted for the T-rump scam: Tax cuts for the rich and more spending increases.

Rethuglikkkans are going to try so hard to turn this around - won't work.

reply

They are sick. They are poor so a recession wouldn't affect them.

reply

They are sick. They are poor so a recession wouldn't affect them.

Damn, what a stupid statement! Probably the stupidest statement of all time!

The only people never affected by a recession are the very wealthy: Rich Rethuglikkkans. T-rump and his pals at Mar-A-Lago aren't going to feel it, Betsy DeVos isn't going to feel it, Paul Ryan isn't going to feel it.

If you're not in their tax bracket (and you're not), you're going to be affected by a recession.

reply

I didn't call a recession funny. I said it'd be funny to see Trump get owned by his own recession. Big difference.

If you study economics you'll learn a recession is inevitable because economies are cyclical. I recognize and accept this. You are not reality based since you're pretending like an economy can keep expanding indefinitely. To cushion the inevitable fall, responsible government means reigning in spending and bringing down debt during economic expansion. Trump has irresponsibly done the opposite. He's taken a page out of the Reagan playbook to supercharge the economy. He did this by throttling deficits and debt while cutting taxes. This is just extraordinarily irresponsible. We've seen this movie before.

But even worse than Reagan, Trump does this to an economy he inherited that was already healthy and expanding while also starting a trade war with China. This will have devastating medium to long term economic consequences.

It's a gambit. He's hitting the gas hoping the economy won't slow down before he's ridden it to re-election. It was looking like he might get away with it. Now the outlook is far sketchier and he might just have to own it.

reply

What the hell are you talking about, the country had one of its biggest economic booms thanks to Reagan that lasted 20 + years.

reply

20+ years? You're HIGH. Look up the early 90s recession from '90-'92.

I love arguing economics with Republicans because they're typically just so ignorant.

reply

^Yep

Trump Inherited Obama's Good Economy (but is plundering it)
http://www.factcheck.org/2017/01/what-president-trump-inherits/

Anybody who thinks the Reagan economy or Reagan years were good was born 20th January 1981 and tragically died 20th January 1989.

reply

If you study economics, you'll learn a recession is inevitable because economies are a cyclical. So yea recessions happen, but they couldn't bring down Reagan's boom. The economy hit rock bottom in 08 with the liberals crashing it and the housing market

reply

My BA is in economics so I've studied it.

Meanwhile your BS is in ignorance. What you just said is hilariously ignorant: "So yea recessions happen, but they couldn't bring down Reagan's boom" A recession can't happen during a boom kid. They have opposite meanings. And the Great Recession in '08 began BEFORE Obama took office.

When you're in a hole, you should stop digging. Unless you like being made fun of for your ignorance. :)

reply

You're BA from some online bullshit university doesn't impress me. The housing market crashed because of the democrats, you can go all the way back to 99 when Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act to get the ball rolling.

Reagan was the key factor for the growth in the 1990s. When Bill wasn't fucking everything that wasn't his wife, he did a a good job of nothing and screwing up what Reagan did.

Now let me make this simple for you. You go from 25 to 100 - booming. You recess from 100 to 75, you're down for that time frame, but in the big picture you are up.

reply

lolz. God, Trumptards like you are so fun to call out because you love doubling down on your ignorance. What's clear is you don't even understand what a recession and a boom even are.

The housing market crashed because of conservative Alan Greenspan's negligence at the Federal Reserve and Bush. They were the ones in charge when the economy crashed you twit, not Democrats.

"Reagan was a key factor int the 1990s"

Your idiocy is very hilarious. No, Reagan's policies are what directly caused the 1990-1992 recession you ignorant buffoon. This entirely wrong metaphor of the economy from you takes the cake:

"Now let me make this simple for you. You go from 25 to 100 - booming. You recess from 100 to 75, you're down for that time frame, but in the big picture you are up."

loolz ... you are so hapless. Do you know what a recession even is? Look it up. It's what happens when an economy contracts. So you don't recess from 100-75, you recess by going into negative numbers dipshit. In order to get it in the black again requires consumer confidence and action by the Fed of whoever is in charge. You can't credit Reagan's policies for what happened during Clinton when it's Clinton's policies that put the country back on track from an economic recession you titanic tool.

reply

No coincidence that the Dems took control of Congress in early 07 and boom. Recession. Economic collapse. They controlled the pursue strings. SAD!

reply

Stop lying already, college textbooks RIGHT NOW layout how the Reagan Administration's fiscal policies brought about out an economic depression, how the Clinton Administration's fiscal policies brought about economic stability, and how Bush II Administration's fiscal policies brought about the second worst economic crisis in American history. The financial policies and impacts are documented and archived and printed in textbooks for anybody to study.

reply

College textbooks are full of liberal garbage. Fake history. Fake science. Fake news

reply

You begin and end in ash

reply

Yup. The above was just another textbook illustration of when an ignoramus confronts reality and facts. They crash and burn as their own worst enemies with the fictions they peddle.

reply

"College textbooks are full of government records"

^fixed that for you

reply

Wow oh wow!

The extreme right has worked their wonders on you.

This is exactly how they want you; uneducated so you don't know better when you are acting against your own interests

reply

Again your ignorance is just hysterical. Economies don't react based on which party wins congress dummy. Economies react to fiscal and economic policy, for which Greenspan and Bush were negligent. It was their insistence in non-intervention laissez-faire Ayn Randian economic policy and rigid libertarian orthodoxy that made them deliberately refuse to acknowledge the Housing and Derivatives bubble that was happening right in front of their face.

reply

LMAOOO

reply

Glad to see you're finally able to lighten up and laugh at your own foolishness after I pointed out the facts. It takes a man to do that so I'm glad to see you're growing up.

Now you just need to go to school and get an education.

reply

"You're BA from some online bullshit university doesn't impress me. The housing market crashed because of the democrats, you can go all the way back to 99 when Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act to get the ball rolling."
