Michael Cohen files lawsuit against T-rump Organization!
Michael Cohen, the president's fixer and personal attorney for a decade, has filed suit against the T-rump Organization on Thursday, claiming the he was not paid for legal fees he incurred after turning on the president.
According to the papers filed today, Cohen claimed 'he was part of an agreement with the Trump Organization that outlined the business would cover expenses for his legal expenses as he became a focus of federal prosecutors in New York and with special counsel Robert Mueller’s office'.
Cohen outlined the agreement he signed with the Organization in July, 2017 which stated that the company would pay “for his attorneys’ fees and costs in connection with Mr. Cohen’s representation and defense in the investigations and other matters.”
Cohen says once he turned on T-rump and started working with Mueller last summer, the payments stopped. He acknowledged the company did pay over $1M in legal fees from July, 2017 until July, 2018 but they now owe him an additional $2M.
