When was the last time a news network sued a President? That's right - NEVER - until today.

"CNN has filed a lawsuit against President Trump and several of his aides, seeking the immediate restoration of chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta's access to the White House.

The lawsuit is a response to the White House's suspension of Acosta's press pass, known as a Secret Service "hard pass," last week. The suit alleges that Acosta and CNN's First and Fifth Amendment rights are being violated by the ban.

The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning. It was docketed and assigned to Judge Timothy J. Kelly, a Trump appointee. The judge has given the defendants an 11 a.m. Wednesday deadline to file responses to the suit. He has scheduled a hearing for Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

Both CNN and Acosta are plaintiffs in the lawsuit. There are six defendants: Trump, chief of staff John Kelly, press secretary Sarah Sanders, deputy chief of staff for communications Bill Shine, Secret Service director Randolph Alles, and the Secret Service officer who took Acosta's hard pass away last Wednesday.

The six defendants are all named because of their roles in enforcing and announcing Acosta's suspension."

Never, ever, ever has any TV network sued a President. I mean this guy is an international embarrassment on every level.

Remember when we thought Dubya was an embarrassment? Or Sarah Palin? They were nothing compared to this guy.

At least Dubya was fun. Trump is just dull, depressing and nasty. Trump is like the one member of the family everyone hates who does nothing but run their loud mouth and pushes DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA into everything. The kind of family member who likes to hear themselves speak and think everything is worthy of being pi$$ed off about. Amazing...a 72-year old man dealing in this much drama. I thought people were supposed to mellow out with old age? Hell, I'm only in my mid-thirties and I already feel I've mellowed out since my twenties. I've got to hand it to miserable, old, dried up, fat hog--he sure is an energetic one. Maybe it's those 12 diet cokes he's drinking all day.

Now here's a wild thought, maybe just maybe you should try and be more like Trump since you seem so envious of his high energy level...who wait you all ready are, you're obnoxious, you're bullying, you're always bitching about one thing or another, and you're a name calling man- child, so I guess Trump can just pull off that energy better than you can.

You were right about one thing, immigrants should be more welcomed into this country, but you know this country is getting quite crowded so there might have to be some trade offs, what if you just leave.... I'd welcome a ship carrying rats covered in plague carrying fleas into this country if it meant ridding this country of parasites like you.

It's not an act, sadly. He claimed to me before to be someone by the name of "PoisonIvy" from the IMDB boards. I didn't remember him initially until someone enlightened me. He was apparently one of the Batman vs. Superman fanatics from IMDB. I spent a LOT of time those days bashing BVS and the entire DCCU. Because of that, I received death threats and stalkers. Lady here and someone named GothamCat followed me over here to MovieChat where they apparently still have a hair up their a$$ because of what I said about their precious DCCU (which is currently floating in the toilet)...so I guess this is their "payback" for that.

Sad? Yes. Pathetic? Very. This guy isn't acting. He's that pathetic.

Lady is nothing special, though. I had a dozen just like him following me around like fruit flies back on IMDB on a daily basis.

Wow...some one-off film that's not even connected to the DCCU, not even well-liked and considered performing below studio expectations STILL managed to pass the DCCU's half-a$$ed answer to "The Avengers".....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! XD XD XD

The others are UltimateHippo (banned and using other names now), anything with -Hippo, PresidentAckbar, Bubbathegut, Ackbarthehutt, and a few more I can't recall offhand.

Those last three, for example, are actually socks of the same user.

MovieChat claims that trolling is against the rules but the mods don't seem to have enough courage to ban obvious trolls (UltimateHippo is the only one so far).

There is one you left off but I won't write his name because that obsessive little tw@t googles his own username to try to find us former IMDBers online. He found us on "MovieForums" before (though, most of us left that site) and he, so far, hasn't tracked us here yet. I'm sure you know who I'm talking about so we'll just leave it at that.

Actually, I'm not a bully at all. Bullies prey on innocent people who did nothing to provoke them. People like you and the other trolls around here are the boils on the a$$ of this board and I'm merely one of several employed to lance them. Unfortunately, you're one festering boil from the IMDB days that just won't stop coming back.

You have an unhealthy obsession with me, Lady. I'm not even an A1 target on anyone's list and you choose me. There are thousands like me on these boards and I'm one of the less frequent ones around here. I don't really care to be the font of someone's obsession and don't really understand what you derive from acting the way you do around here.

The sad truth of the matter is that you don't even seem aware of the fact that, with every post you make to me, you demonstrate to this entire board how badly my words of the past must have affected you. To carry a two-year obsession like this all the way over here to moviechat and over what? A dumb movie franchise that I (rightly) bashed? Seek help, Lady. If my words about BVS and Justice League bothered you THAT deeply then you seriously need to get a life because the DCCU should be the least of your issues in life.

From what you've said, you're unmarried and view relationships as a burden and commitment as a joke. You're a meathead, through and through, and you're quite pathetic, to be honest.

It's amazing...I bashed the DCCU (and I stand by 100% what I ever said there) and received death threats from people and received stalkers like you...over a movie. Get help. Fast.

...Or don't. Regardless, you're obviously using me as some sort of outlet for your frustrations with life and that's sad and pathetic.

Why don't you attack someone who really matters? I'm a nobody. I'm a nobody on the internet and I didn't cause whatever inadequacies that apparently exist in your circumstances in life.

I never thought I'd be saying this, but...I kind of miss Dubya. At least the guy had some class. Look at how he and Obama has been showing such respect and candor together at Barbara Bush's funeral and other events. Maybe they weren't the best presidents but they were at least decent people. Donald, on the other hand, is not only bad president but he's a worse person. He's nasty. He's a bully. He's a thug. He's the only president has ever left me cringing when I see him on TV or the internet. Even the pope gave him a look of disgust, for crying out loud--the POPE!

Fox news is supporting CNN in their lawsuit:

“Fox News supports CNN in its legal effort to regain its White House reporter’s press credential,” Fox News President Jay Wallace said in a statement. “Secret Service passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized. While we don’t condone the growing antagonistic tone by both the President and the press at recent media avails, we do support a free press, access and open exchanges for the American people.”

Strangely enough Fox News has been silent on Twitter for 6 days now. Some say they are boycotting Twitter because they didn't delete Tucker Carlson's address fast enough when it was posted by protesters of his. To my knowledge they've made no official statement though. Will be interesting to see if anything more develops from this.

Yes Fox News instructed their employees not to participate in Twitter because of Tucker’s incident last week. But Tucker ignored his employer and took to Twitter this weekend to defend himself from the accusations he assaulted a gay immigrant at his country club.
