Dow drops another 245 points just eight days before election

The Dow dropped yet again on Monday, shedding 245 points just eight days before election day. The Dow plunged in the afternoon when news broke out that the White House will be adding more tariffs to Chinese goods by December. The S&P as well as Nasdaq continued their slide down on Monday, as well.

With this disastrous month for the stock market, all gains since the beginning of the year (which T-rump boasted about in the early months) have been completely wiped out, not looking good for Republicans next week. No more bragging about "look how great your investments are doing" to keep their seats in Congress.

Here's the statistic I'm mostly concerned with: My money is down over $1,000 in the past 4 weeks.

And this is what's going to be on voter's minds when they go to the polls on November 6.

reply

So when the Dems win this fall that means the stocks will go back up?

reply

Not necessarily, but perhaps.

reply

Not suggesting that. Just that maybe Trump should hold off on the victory dance every time the market has a good day.

reply

Thats Trump, what else do you expect.

reply

Stocks are a high risk yield. I would invest in something more stable.

Yes, and the stock on January 20, 2009 was 7949.09 (thanks to Bush putting us into the worst economy since Noah built his Ark)! It rose by 11, 878.16 points. Stock holders did very well under Obama, wouldn't you say?

I only like one kind of bush.

The scrotal kind lol

haha touche!

reply

Ill take that as an admission that investors did just fine under Obama.

reply

Probably, I dont know. I dont have access to their portfolios.

reply

Do you need access to their portfolios to come to a logical conclusion?

reply

Yes, maybe they invested in high risk stocks.

Have you noticed that when stocks go up that the libs are completely silent?

reply

Pretty much, they just hate everything right now.
