Desperate Times / Desperate Measures: Kavanaugh goes for the Oscar during his testimony

Desperate Times call for Desperate Measures, and Kavanaugh made the most desperate attempt at winning over the Senate Judiciary Committee: He cried like a baby.

Kavanuagh turned in an almost Oscar-worthy performance as he explained to the Senate how his 10 year old daughter prayed for Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused him of sexual assault.

“I intend no ill will to Dr. Ford and her family. The other night, Ashley and my daughter Liza said their prayers. And little Liza, all of 10 years old —”

He gave a dramatic pause, as his voice broke and he choked up as he continued with his answer, “— said to Ashley, ‘We should pray for the woman.’ That’s a lot of wisdom from a 10 year old. We mean no ill will.”

(Note to Ashley and Liza: Yes, thoughts and prayers are always appreciated for any victim of horrendous circumstances such as this. But here's your chance to do something more - tell your father to step away. He doesn't belong on the Supreme Court.)

Kavanaugh wrapped up his performance as he then wiped his nose, shook his head and - to convince the Academy he's serious about that Oscar - took a deep breath to regain his composure, of course.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences saw right through his contrived performance, denying him an Oscar nod. Let's see if the Senate is just as astute.

reply

Seeing more of his desperate performance on TV tonight in recaps. Honesty is a foreign concept to him, eh?

reply

Listening to Kavanaugh speak gives me a headache. The same thing happens when I listen to Trump.

reply

They have such arrogance and bad tempers.

reply

Did anyone catch him reading that piece of paper that was given to him by the Republican lady which in essence defined the terms of what sexual assault can be classified to include?

I swear when he was reading it that his facial expression looked like he was saying to himself, "Oh sheet"...

He whined and sniveled and cried like a baby...he sniffed like Trump...drank a tonne of water like Trump and blew a gasket like Trump often does....anyone see the similarity in those two?

Ever notice how like minded people gravitate towards each other? He and Trump are a match made in hell...

reply

He whined and sniveled and cried like a baby...

He must have totally looked like a liberal to you.

reply

haha

lolz

reply

He must have totally looked like a liberal to you.

And yet he's not. So what does your comment mean? One of your own embarrassed you, so you compare him to the other side? That strategy fails on so many levels it's almost as embarrassing as his testimony.

reply

And yet he's not. So what does your comment mean?

I'm simply pointing out the irony and hipocracy of a liberal whining about some one else whining and crying. Thats actually pretty funny and I saw the hearings and kasanaugh was whining and crying only by stretching your imagination to the extend of the modern leftist.

reply

I'm not a leftist and it was clear to me he was crying like a toddler.

reply

Sure he was tearing up I'll give you that but thats about it.

reply

What do you mean that's it? That's all there was initially.

reply

So we agree?

reply

I honestly don't know. If you agree he came across as a crybaby, petulent child, regardless of affiliation, then yes, we agree.

reply

Liberal Hillary was deposed for eleven hours and never sniffled - never even twitched.

Conservative Kavanaugh broke down in tears within twenty minutes. Lest we forget.

reply

Liberal Hillary has no soul to cry. She just got angry "What difference does it make? Their fucking dead so what difference does it make!."

reply

She was professional, which is something conservatives can't grasp.

reply

She never said the phrase "What difference does it make?" in a dismissive context.

reply

It sounded dismissive to me. It was like she was saying "What happened happened and we can't do anything about it so why talk about it now.".

reply

Kind of like Kavanaugh:

"She was a teenager so I sexually assaulted her while drunk! That was 35 years ago. What difference does it make?"

Republicans agreed with him.

reply

He never said that. Nice straw man though.

shouldn't the oscar go to the lying sack of shit Christine Blasey Ford instead? seems more fitting

36 years ago.....🤣The FBI is going to find out that Dr. Ford is guilty of fraud. Her lawyers are crapping their pants.
