Google whistleblower reveals plan for Chinese censorship

Google is working on a system to make user info available for authorities to look up by phone number so that you can be arrested for thought crimes. China doesn't allow a lot of the homosexual stuff which I think is why google was hesitant to do this at first. They seem to be on board now so maybe a deal has been worked out.

It seems like they have made big moves toward censorship since Trump was elected. There is also a leaked video of all the super wealthy google executives crying over their election loss. China good Trump bad? I think liberals need to re-examine their beliefs about what liberalism is and who it's for.

If Google wants to have a stake in China, they have to abide by the local laws. It's been like this for many many years now.

I don't see how Chinese censorship has anything to do with Trump.

Uh oh. Looks like Thrillhouse has been to the alt-reich conspiracy sites after Trump's standup routing at the UN was laughed at by China. Alex Jones is now firmly on the anti-China bandwagon.

Of course, this censorship has nothing to do with the US. Google has to play ball with China's rules if they want to exist there. Whether Google chooses to or not, China's censorship remains the same. To be honest, just by Google being there, it puts a dent in censorship since censorship is defeated by the spread of ideas. Google will have to curb a lot of it, but China can't make them curb everything.

Google - criticises Trump for bad policies.

Google - helps China censor information and control citizens.

Liberals have to ho hum this because otherwise they'd have to re-examine their views. Many liberals see themselves as rebels against large corporations but they are the foot soldiers.
