It's been 10 Years since the Global Financial Collapse

- and the GOP-led US Government & governments overseas have not learned from history. Austerity doesn't work. White Nationalism doesn't work.

10 years after the Great Depression saw the rise of the Facists & Nazis overseas.
10 years after the Great Depression saw FDR implement one of the biggest acts of government infrastructure the country ever saw - The CCC.

Austerity doesn't work. Government INVESTING worked. Our government spent money on people & projects, goods & services. And it helped citizens survive the Great Depression. The Hoover Dam was built. Roads, parks, theaters, tunnels, bridges, housing. ALL government spending to keep people employed - and satellite businesses grew to support those projects. Rooming houses & restaurants & clothing stores & rubber & steel factories.

10 years after the GLOBAL FINANCIAL ATTACK (which occurred 4 years after a GOP tax cut) we see the GOP with another round of tax cuts for the wealthiest. With the 2017 GOP tax cuts - we've now seen that virtually NONE of that money trickled down. NONE of it went to anything but expected annual raises. What hasn't been socked in overseas accounts - have been used for CEO salary bumps & to buy stocks to inflate worth to benefit stockholders - to buy more stock. It's paper bullshit. Nothing concrete. Worker's wages haven't gone up - but the price of consumer goods have skyrocketed.

10 years after the GLOBAL FINANCIAL COLLAPSE, we also see the rise of nationalism. That mirrors what happened in Germany 10 years after the stock market collapsed.

But what we don't see in the US is any foresight. Or any hindsight, for that matter.

The GOP is not spending to shore up our infrastructure - worse! - they're denying climate change & this POTUS has even mocked renewable energies for fucking COAL.

The GOP gullible have been told not to see what their eyes see - but to wait until their Dear Leader tells them what it is that they see.

And that's just fucking un-American.

Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. And history has its eyes on US right now.
