Breaking news tonight: John McCain, one of the last true statesman of the current GOP, has passed away from brain cancer. He was 81, and would have turned 82 in four more days. My thoughts are with his family who stood by him during this battle.

His mother is 106 years old. She's aware that he was ill.

This guy shouldve always been respected. He earned it in every sense of the word and was the realist american. Trump has never been anything.

It became obvious to me he must have been in really poor health to see Lindsey wander off and become such a Trump sycophant.
Had McCain been healthy I think he would have kept Lindsey on a much tighter leash.

shareIt also exposed to me who Lindsey really is. He was never a principled conservative like McCain. He was just your typical "follow the Alpha" conservative who idolized and worshiped McCain as the alpha of the Senate all these years.
When McCain got too ill to lead, Lindsey was lost. He glommed onto the president like he had found his new daddy. It was pathetic.
I will miss him. He had a spine. Unfortunately we don't see that often in life or politics.
