"Say goodbye. Goodbye. I'm done.." : Jeanine Pirro gets tossed off "The View"
T-rump loving advocate Judge Jeannine Pirro, trying to plug sales for her new book, appeared on "The View" yesterday, which ended in a shouting match between her and host Whoopi Goldberg, who ended the interview segment abruptly. Pirro later appeared on "Hannity" and played the puppy victim, saying she wasn't treated like a human.
But things got off to a very bad start before Pirro's segment, when she entered the studio and saw CNN conservative host Ana Navarro on stage, sitting in for Joy Behar. According to multiple sources at the show, Pirro went into a rage upon arrival, yelling at her own team and then the producers of the show, demanding to know why she wasn't told Navarro would be guest hosting. Her team later told producers if she did know ahead of time, she would have canceled her appearance on the show (she supposedly abhors Navarro who is a Republican 'Never T-rump'). Producers stood their ground, explaining they don't inform guests beforehand whether they have a guest host, and who it is.
Goldberg kept her cool throughout the two part interview segment, occasionally getting the truth out there about her own feelings on 'the guy in the White House', while Pirro stuck to her FOX talking points while she dodged 'tough' questions by cohosts Sara Haines, Meaghan McCain, former federal prosecutor Sunny Hostin (who had to keep reminding her that the Steele Dossier was actually originally commissioned and bought by a Republican foe of T-rump's during the party's primary, and later acquired by the Democrats - which caused Pirro to seethe) and even Ana Navarro (whom she tried to ignore).
At the end, Pirro rudely pointed her finger at Goldberg from across the table, and accused her of suffering from the newly-coined 'T-rump Derangement Syndrome' (yes, FOX made that up this week trying to save the President's unpopularity).
"There have been a lot of people in office that I didn't agree with, but I have never, ever seen anything like this," explained Goldberg. "I've never seen anybody whip up such hate. I've never seen anybody be so dismissive. And clearly you don't watch this show. You don't know that I suffer from that, what I suffer from is the inability to figure out how to fix this. That's my issue."
That prompted Pirro to engage in a heated back-and-forth with Goldberg about victims of violence committed by illegal immigrants (which was another FOX talking point, and had nothing to do with the discussion at hand) to which Goldberg abruptly ended the show when
Goldberg decided to throw her off the show by telling her: "Say goodbye. Goodbye. I'm done."
Goldberg came back after the commercial to close the show by addressing the viewers. "So you saw me do something that I very rarely do, I very rarely lose my cool and I'm not proud of it. I don't like it," she told the cameras at the end of the show. "But I also don't like being accused of being hysterical because that's one of the things I try not to be on this show."
Later on Hannity's afternoon talk show, Pirro appeared as the victim, saying:
“When I went off the stage, Sean, I was walking down stairs, and I said something like, ‘Whoopi, I’ve fought for victims all my life,’” Pirro said. “And she said ‘F you’ in my face, literally spitting at me. ‘F you, get the F out of this building!’”
Sources at the show say Pirro's version is not entirely true.
Goldberg purposely avoided Pirro backstage, but Pirro approached Goldberg walking back to her dressing room, and getting right in her face and yelling at her up close. Goldberg wouldn't engage at first, until Pirro said she has done 'more for victims' than Goldberg has ever done in her life. That's when Goldberg told her to "Get the F***out of my face and get the F*** out of the building!"
Keep in mind, Pirro is known for her bad behavior, dismissive attitude, on-air fighting with opposing guests, and cutting interviews short to go to commercial with those she opposes on her own very low-rated Saturday night show on FOX. She didn't mention that to Hannity.
