Chris Christie promises to 'tell all' about T-rump, Kushner, Bannon and others in new book

Former NJ Guv Chris 'Christie Creme' has a book deal signed with Hachette Books due next January, in which he promises not to hold back in telling all about T-rump, Kushners, Bannon, and others. The title of the book is: "Let Me Finish: Trump, the Kushners, Bannon, New Jersey, and the Power of In-Your-Face Politics" .

According to statement by the publisher, Christie Creme will 'set the record straight' on how he went on to be a key T-rump campaign supporter early on, and was "unceremoniously booted" from the transition team after Trump's upset victory.

The tell-all will reveal "candid and surprising insights into the public and private Trump, drawn from fifteen years of close friendship", and will provide "frank appraisals" of such fellow Trump insiders as Steve Bannon, Corey Lewandowski and Jared Kushner, whose father, Charles Kushner, was sent to prison when Christie was a federal prosecutor.

In a separate statement, Christie said: "I've had a wild ride up till now - there's no denying that. But I have so much more to do for our country and so much more to say. 'Let Me Finish' is my first chance to begin to put it all out there."

Just a desperate attempt to sell books. There will be absolutely Zero information of any interest in his tome. If there were he would have been on Bob Mueller's celebrity invite list.

Omarosa must be pissed. No book deal for her yet? lol

reply

Good catch. She doesn't know anything either anyway.

What's with these idiots and selling books? It's like after they leave office they decide to write 'books'... lol. Heck, even Sean Spicer is writing a book. Almost like they have no more source of income or want more easy money...

Obama's done it (well most president do it I think and I wouldn't doubt Trump will do one too after he leaves office/gets impeached), Hillary has done it, goes on and on.

I have no problem with Presidents, First Ladies, Senators, etc writing memoirs. Many are interesting to read, and their stories should be shared.

Others - such as Christie - have enough interesting information for a newspaper interview and not much more. I’m sure most of the book will be fluff.

reply

Mmmm memoirs... yeah I guess you have a point there. Sadly I don't read real books as much as I used to given the internet, e-books and all.

I wonder if Christie will talk about his bridge gate and closing off the beach for his family. Doubtful. They never talk about the people they've screwed, only what they claimed for success.

reply

Yes, he promises to 'set the record straight' on Bridgegate, as well. Again - is this book-worthy, or more of an hour interview on '60 Minutes', or a two-day printed interview in the NY Times?

I remember back in the early 90s, Nancy Reagan released her memoir "My Turn" which was one of the first 'clean up jobs' I can recall masquerading as a memoir (before that, memoirs were somewhat honest personal histories, not meant to clean up one's image). She was desperate to scrub up her image after the scathing 'tell alls' (most notably Kitty Kelly's #1 Best Seller about her, and the book her daughter published) which didn't have her in the warmest spotlight.

Since then, many have followed - trying to clean up their images after being in the political spotlight, and trying to be 'liked' as a victim. Christie is the latest one.

They're trying to make it sound like he'll spill dirt, but he's still in Trumps camp so this will be him trying to spin-doctor the many, many lies, diversions and PR nightmares in this administration. All to sell books to Democrats who will think they're getting dirt.

Why is he doing this? He has moral compass or ethics plus he knows Trumps base, who would normally be his key demographic, are more suited for burning books than reading them.
