“I would like to clarify, in a key sentence in my remarks, I said the word ‘would’ instead of ‘wouldn’t.’ The sentence should have been: ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia,’” he said.

Ummm it took him over 24 hours to clarify this and he was doing so reading from a typewritten statement. No one is buying what he's selling.

Please. Trump and his spokespeople had over a day to correct what he said and they didn't. They are clearly just reacting to criticism.

There's no way that entire press conference was him misspeaking. It's one thing to use a word out of place, it's another to hold a lengthy press conference in which you blame the US, ignore Putin's murdering, meddling ways, and put down the intelligence community. He was pretty clear in that press conference.

Well being a patriot can mean different things to different people. What it's never meant before today is calling your country stupid while expressing belief in the President of a hostile country to the detriment of your own intelligence agencies.

What is a Patriot in your mind? Someone who's house is festooned with American flags and bald eagle images?
A car magnet that says Support Our Troops? Pro-Life, Anti-Choice? Strict Constructionist when it fits your agenda?
One of the FOX lemmings like one of your buddies likes to say?
I am a patriot
And I love my country
Because my county is all I know
And I ain't no communist
And I ain't no capitalist
And I ain't no socialist
And I ain't no imperialist
And I ain't no democrat

I only know one party
And it is freedom

Of course, freedom is a nebulous concept. One patriot nearby painted on his barn "Freedom Isn't Free."

It's so amusing Trump wasn't even apologizing because everyone knows he doesn't apologize. He came outright and said America was stupid and foolish.

I find it hilarious you seem to think "classical liberals" are leaving the democrats. Wrong party kid, classical liberals have nothing in common with today's Dems outside of some shared values on social policy. If they're leaving any party it's the Republicans. It's absurd. Trump was pretty clear when he was talking to the media, and his attacks on the US and the intelligence community and his blaming the US.

The close up of Trumps notes show where there was a line crossed out that read "anyone involved in that meddling to justice" (I presume that's supposed to be brought to justice). Also in bold magic marker written in was "There was no collusion". His priorities are clearly in order.

The meeting with Trump and Putin was astonishing, and Trumps response to criticism was proof of this idiots duplicity and ignorance. Putin had Trump under his thumb and Trump didn't even know it. How long is it going to take for this country to get rid of this embarrassment???

What's sad is that he expects NO ONE to look at the entire ...speech? Presentation? to see how his "correction" fits into the context of everything he said around it. Sadly, it doesn't. So, he's either lying now to save his base or he has dementia and was rambling incoherently in front of Putin and the press.....or both.

The beauty of this is that you don't need to listen to a single talking head on either side. You JUST need to listen to the words that HE said. And if you listen to all of them, it's disturbing either way you slice it.
