Are those the ones coming in legally or the ones making their first act in the country breaking the law? If smashing the window and coming inside makes a person decent then I think the argument is with what one terms as decent. And if someone is too dumb to come in legally, what is the benefit for the country taking them in?
It's not that people are too dumb to come in legally, it's that the government, by its own policies, effectively tells them "Don't bother trying the legal way, we don't want you". Our immigration laws have been written to DISCOURAGE legal immigration by imposing QUOTAS. Our immigration laws effectively impose a maximum number of immigrants that we're willing to accept into the country legally, regardless of their intention to work hard and not violate people's rights. That's what's fundamentally unfair about the quota system. Being a decent, hard-working person is not what determines whether you will be allowed in legally. Should we take 10 million in each year? Or should we bring entire countries in because the soil in North America makes people behave differently and is full of magic that produces success. If only Mexico and Honduras had this soil and stone they would be just as successful but it only grows here. They work so much harder in those countries then we do but get nothing from that labor. It's unfair that our soil makes society work and behave but theirs is perniciously evil.
