Hmm set them right how I wonder... Maybe Trump will magically lift sanctions on Russia after this meeting or maybe he'll set up some Trump hotels. Ah one could speculate but it's exciting to see what orders will be made to improve relations after all these news have come to light. I'm thinking something that would give Russia more gain/foothold in whatever plans he has going on.

Maybe he will just hand the keys to the White House over to Putin and call it a day. “ Mission Accomplished”. He will tell his supporters, “ I trust him” and they will, too.

Putin wants everything, but gives nothing. How can we lift sanctions if he isn't even willing to admit his country revolves around the very corruption that we put sanctions on them for? I support the removal of Nato troops from the border for the most part, but how can we go about that when he's shown no inclination that he won't invade another country? He's always playing the game of "hmm oh golly I wish the US wasn't so hard on us. We've done nothing wrong hmm golly gee" like he's some kind of 5 year old.

You mean annex (but first you have to invade blah blah). He's only gotten Crimea from what I could tell and is fighting on the Eastern Ukraine front. Other than that, I don't think there is anything else going on besides being invited to help cull Syrian rebels. I hear a lot of people saying he wants to revive the old USSR days.

I'm more worried about China since they're the 2nd biggest economy atm and are trying to re-colonize Africa with 99 year land lease deals and other building project constructions to put other countries into debt towards China.

I think the view that there "isn't anything else going on" is pretty naive. Putin very much would love to reclaim the Baltic states that were former Soviet satellites controlled by the Kremlin but today refuse to bow to his will. There's been open speculation for awhile about whether he might invade Latvia or Estonia next . In fact, Estonia has accepted it as inevitable Putin will try to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his and has mobilized for the fight.

This article written by Molly McKew in Politico just 4 days ago about the Estonian situation must have some truth to it given the efforts the Kremlin has put into trying to discredit the contention of one of the Estonian special ops commanders quoted that the Russians WOULDN'T be able to easily take the capital in two days.

The Kremlin invaded Georgia while forcing a total information blackout to try to prevent them from joining NATO, waged a secret war to accomplish that goal with Ukraine, and then attempted to assassinate the prime minister of Montenegro in a last-ditch effort to forestall the same.

And if/when it does happen with Estonia or Latvia keep in mind it will likely follow the successful blueprint with Ukraine. It'll be done covertly in the midst of a massive Kremlin propaganda disinformation campaign while Putin denies the whole time that it's actually happening.

Naïve, yes, but always open to new information. I didn't do a "Russia isn't doing anything else, PERIOD!". I just base that statement on what I currently know atm.

As for the inevitable for Estonia, not so.

There is already US hardware and the likes positioned there since last year to keep check on possible Russian interference if not advances.

Hmm, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus are right on Russia's doorsteps with Lithuania just behind.

Yeah I know you're a moderate and a pretty open minded guy so I didn't mean to be overly accusatory. Just trying to point out what I'm aware of with regards to Estonia.

McKew addresses the nervousness of Estonians due to Trump's disinterest whenever asked about their situation. They appear to have accepted that Trump will not commit NATO to defend them should Putin invade.

If ever a time that 5 year old childlike innocence will pay off, it’s now when he meets T-rump.

Putin knows how gullible and impressionable T-rump is, and severely lacking in intelligence. By playing dumb, T-rump will bow down to him.
