Professors call campus free speech bills a 'right-wing' conspiracy

The American Association of University Professors, which has chapters on more than 500 campuses, is calling on its members to fight against legislation designed to protect free speech on college campuses.
According to the AAUP, bills mandating penalties for infringing on free speech or forbidding the cancellation of controversial speakers are actually part of a "right-wing effort to disempower public higher education."
