Trump reminds me of dr evil
from austin powers
shareHe reminds me of Palpatine.
shareDamn right, he's a bad motherfucker that does what he wants and doesn't take shit from anyone. And until some cyborg picks him up and throws him in a reactor core, he's going to continue being badass.
sharePalpatine was a dictator.
George Lucas was trying to warn people about how a democracy morphs into a dictatorship like it did in Nazi Germany.
Lucas:
"All democracies turn into dictatorships - but not by coup. The people give their democracy to a dictator, whether it's Julius Caesar or Napoleon or Adolf Hitler. Ultimately, the general population goes along with the idea."
Unfortunately, Trump's supporters don't understand that he isn't doing anything new. He's been following the same playbook that dictators have used throughout history to manipulate people into supporting them and ending democracies. It's ignorant to believe that the U.S. couldn't become a tyranny especially if the public will not defend basic freedoms in the Bill of Rights because a leader speaks out against them.
Padme:
“So this is how liberty dies… with thunderous applause”
Padme:
“What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the Republic has become the very evil we’ve been fighting to destroy?”
“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
Benjamin Franklin, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”
That's true except.....Trump has LITERALLY done nothing dictatorially, lol. Your desire to view him that way does not translate to facts. PLEASE give me one example of something he's actually done (no, mere words don't count, because I know how you love to twist them) that is the equivalent of the actions of a dictator.
shareTelling me not to vote for Hilter just makes me want to do it even more because I resent you for your Weimar Republic.
shareSeriously? So you're admitting you support Hitler and can be manipulated into supporting him "even more" because of your contempt for opposing viewpoints in the democratic Weimar Republic?
So you're indirectly admitting you're a fascist.
Interesting but not too terribly surprising.
Yeah, a true badass who would run scared when confronted by MS-13.
shareYour talking about an old man being confronted by a gang of young violent people, and you think it would be wise for him to try and get physical with them? I can tell you really thought out your "clever" remark.
shareWait a minute, are you excusing/defending the same old man who claimed that if he'd heard gunshots coming from inside a building he'd rush in to help even if he was unarmed himself? I'm sure this virile, heroic superman could easily handle being confronted by a gang of punks, too....just ask him!
shareTrump could not get a doctorate, even in evil. Maybe an honorary degree is incompetence.

Trump doesn't have a law degree, just a bachelors (and not from Harvard).
shareI stand corrected, I could have sworn I read years ago that he had a Harvard law degree. Wharton is equally prestigious for sure, but yes, I was wrong about Harvard. My point stands that he obviously has what it takes to make it at an Ivy League school, and create a mega corporation, and then achieve the presidency. That's a pretty impressive resume, regardless if you like the man.
shareObama has a law degree from Harvard so maybe you got your wires crossed.
shareProbably that's it. Obama's a smart dude too, no doubt about it. The reality is, regardless of how you may feel about someone's politics, if you get elected President of the United States, you're probably no dummy. I do think Trump suffers from a typical Ivy League elitist attitude.
shareActually he transferred to Wharton after two years at Fordham, and according to his biographer Gwenda Blair he was accepted due to family connections and a favor to his brother Freddy who the admissions officer was friendly from years before:

Yawn... You bore me and I get tired of making you look silly with your lopsided logic that any middle schooler can see through. Expect this as my stock reply for every time you reply to me. I can't stand feigned ignorance, and it's even worse when it's real.
shareIt's amusing how frustrated you get when I respond with simple facts and you go into cut and paste mode waving the white flag. It just confirms how easy you are to refute and shut down.

shareGoing to Harvard when your an average person from an average family is impressive.
The rich kids that go there are just enjoying the privilege of being rich and their diploma is nothing more than a paid for piece of paper
Give me a break. A huge percentage of ivy league students are rich kids, and many of them can't cut it. Don't be jealous that you won't achieve a small percentage of what he has.
shareYa I'll never be a fraction of a fraud that Drumpf is. Tis a shame.
Release the taxes brah! Oh wait then his brainwashed followers will see he's just regular rich, if that, and not the hugely bigly winner he purports to be.
Fraud? Did he fraudulently win the presidency? Did he fraudulently become a billionaire? But don't let me stand in the way of letting your bitterness make you sound stupid. By all means continue.
shareUmm he gained the presidency through devisive tactics and pandering to the lowest common denominator. Not really honest.
And how do you know he's a billionaire? He never released his taxes. You're just taking a megalomaniac's word as truth.
He has money on paper, but his wealth is greatly exaggerated.

Isn't he also based off Dr. No?
shareWell yes and no, as far as the appearance goes he's clearly a spoof of Donald Pleasence (sp) Ernst Stavro Blofeld, however some of the cliche's that Dr. No shows such as not killing Bond when he has a chance, being nice to him, feeding him, etc. clearly went into Dr. Evil as well. I guess we could also say that Dr. Evil is also a lot like Kananga/Mr. Big in the sense that he attempts to lower Bond into a pool of sharks using a "slowly moving dipping mechanism" while the entire situation was so easily escapable.
shareHis appearance was definitely based off Ernst Stavro Blofeld , just Google it and it's fairly obvious. However, I remember reading that a former SNL writer said that his mannerisms are actually a parody of Lorne Michaels.

He reminds me of Bob Roberts.
